For many of us, animals are more than companions,they are family. They bring comfort, joy, and unconditional love. And when we lose them, the grief is real and lasting. This site exists not only to help animals find homes, but to support the people who love them.
The mission of The Rescued Heart is to connect people with trusted animal rescue and adoption resources, while also providing space and support for those navigating pet loss and grief. By making these resources easy to find, this project hopes to encourage adoption, compassion, and healing.
This site is dedicated to my dog Maui, who I was lucky enough to have for seven precious years. I may have adopted him, but in truth, he rescued me. His love, loyalty, and presence changed my life in ways I will always carry with me.
It is also dedicated to Winnie, my rescue today, who reminds me that love continues, even after loss. This project is for both of them and for anyone who has ever been changed by the love of a pet.
